I recently upgraded to 28.3 and have a problem I have not been able to find a solution for as yet. On the right hand side of my site I have several modules. The module Top Pages has links with this type of formatting: https://mywebsite.org/tiki-index.php?page=Seasons When I click on the link nothing happens. The module Latest Changes just below it has this type of link formatting: https://mywebsite.org/Seasons When I click on this link it works fine. Does anyone have an idea of what may have caused this? I'm guessing I've changed a preference I shouldn't without remembering or recording it. Would be nice to be able to modify the module to change the link format. Thanks in advance!
Hello everyone, I have a problem that I can't resolve! Description : I installed Tiki 27.0 in October 2024, since then I have upgraded 2 times, first to 27.1 without any problems after upgrade. On April 12, I upgraded to version 27.2. This time, the only problem I encountered after checking all was the category administration do not displayed. It's simply a blank screen. I've checked the php.ini server memory is 128mg OK, I've checked the permissions on files OK. I've also redone the upgrade steps to see the error messages, but everything's OK. It's only the admin action (tiki-admin_categories.php) that doesn't work. Everything else works fine. Actually, I'm not find a solution for that. In last resort, I could go back to the previous version 27.1 and restore the database and the backup file. Note: the site is not currently online! It's still under development. Thank for your help
Hi, I want to display a PDF file from the file gallery in a Wiki page, without the ability to download it or print it off - this doesn't need to be super secure, just not obvious to people who aren't very computer literate. WebDocViewer with webdocviewer url="https://tim-thornton.com/tikiwiki/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=375" width="750" height="780" ({} omitted as otherwise it messes up posting here) shows the PDF, but if the user clicks on the pop-out button in the top right the print and download options are there - is there a way to disable these? I tried using MediaPlayer which requires enabling PDF,js so I went to Control Panels - File Galleries - Enhancements to enable it, but then got the message Missing tiki package: npm-asset/pdfjs-dist-viewer-min So I tried going to Control Panels - Packages to add this in, but the Packages window doesn't come up, and eventually I get an HTML Error 500 No idea if the installation has always been like this or if it's something new, but to try and diagnose it I went to Control Panels - General and clicked on Server Fitness to run tiki-check.php. This didn't run - I know I've run it in the past but haven't knowingly changed anything to block it - I'm not a proficient Linux user, and generally just do all I need from within TikiWiki, generally just editing content. I also went into Security Admin and ran Check all tiki files and Check file permissions, but neither showed anything amiss as far as I could see. Using an Iframe as IFRAME(src="https://tim-thornton.com/tikiwiki/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=375" width="600" height="500" scrolling="auto") IFRAME opens up the PDF in a new tab rather than embedding it in the page, and the web browser's print and download controls are there. If I add in sandbox="allow-scripts allow-same-origin" this doesn't disable print and download functions, which it does in normal HTML Using HTML as HTML()=embed src="https://tim-thornton.com/tikiwiki/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=375" width="750" height="780"= =/embed=HTML ( replaced with =) works well using the browser's PDF viewer with the full set of controls. or using HTML()=iframe src="https://tim-thornton.com/tikiwiki/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=375" sandbox="allow-scripts allow-same-origin"= =/iframe= HTML doesn't disable the print and download functions. I could embed Yumpu, a PDF file viewer, which will give me what I need, but it would be neater to do it all within TikiWiki, as well as avoiding taking out another subscription! This is on Tiki 20.1 (yes I know I need to upgrade) on a shared server. Anyone got any thoughts on the best way of displaying the PDF and/or the Packages and tiki-check not working? Many thanks, Tim
Hi all, I'm currently running Tiki Wiki version 24.0 at https://wiki.fionasuniverse.com/HomePage. I've had an open source technician assist with upgrading the software, but we've hit a wall. Attempts to upgrade from 24.0 to either 24.6 or 27.0 have not been successful. Strangely, there are no errors showing up in the logs, which makes troubleshooting pretty difficult. The wiki is running alongside a webtrees site, and I'm also considering switching hosting providers—but I'd really like to resolve the TikiWiki issue before doing that. As far as I know, the TikiWiki install is fairly standard—I'm not running any extra modules or customisations. I'm not very computer savvy myself, so I'm relying on help to get this sorted. Any advice or suggestions (in plain language, if possible!) would be very much appreciated.
Hello fine folks. Tiki v28.3 is having a hard time displaying layers in maps, if I have only openstreet layer the map displays, if I try to invoke more layers such as: openstreetmap, mapquest_street, mapquest_aerial, google_street, google_satellite, I get the following error and map does not display: {img fileId="3586" thumb="box"} As well, I am unable to assign geolocation to wiki page, blog, or articles using:Any guidance is appreciated.Copy to clipboard{map scope="all" controls="controls,layers,search_location,levels,streetview,navigation,coordinates" center="-50,43.8" popupstyle="bubble" tooltips="y"} !!!List of geolocated pages {LIST()} {filter type="wiki page"} {filter content="y" field=geo_located} {LIST} {appframe min="0" hideleft="y" hideright="y" fullpage="n" absolute="n"}

After upgrading from Tiki 25.3 to 28.1 I'm having an issue searching trackers. I cleared the cache and ran rebuild index. I can filter a tracker by dropdown parameters but if I try to filter a tracking by text it will show "id parameter must be provided". I haven't been able to find any documentation on this yet. This used to work. https://wikigrave.com/Search-Memorial-Database" class="wiki wikinew text-danger tips">Here is one of my search pages. Here is the code. Field 148 is a dropdown (Country) Field 98 is a dropdown (Cemetery) Field 88, 89, 90, 91, 149 is what is used for the text search function. If I enter anything here I'll get the message "id parameter must be provided"Copy to clipboard{trackerfilter trackerId="5" filters="148:98/d:(88:89:90:91:149)/sqlsearch" showlinks="y" fields="88:89:90:91:149"} {map controls="controls, layers, search_location, levels, scale, streetview, navigation, coordinates" popupstyle="bubble" tooltips="y" center="-97.740505,30.274291,4"}
Hi there, I try to set up the new LTS version of Tiki, but unfortunately there's a major issue with the new versions 24.x, at least on my side: There're 6 Objects in the "Monitoring" category: https://i.imgur.com/ZXceS7O.png ...but you can't see them in the "Objects" tab: https://i.imgur.com/voPZaKW.png If you click on "Organize Objects" and click on the "Monitoring" category you can see them: https://i.imgur.com/X731gpU.png At first I thought it's because of the PHP version, so I switched from 8.4 to 8.3, 8.2 and 8.1, but nothing has changed. I don't think it's because of some kind of wrong settings, but if I am wrong, where do I have to look? Is this a known issue? Some time ago I created a topic and mentioned the issue back then too, but unfortunately I never heard of a solution for this: https://tiki.org/forumthread79553-Tiki-Wiki-27-0-Skip-to-main-content-button-on-top-of-the-website-no-objects-in-categories#threadId79560 Thank you!
My production version is currently on version 24.3 using the Feb12 theme. We wanted to migrate to a more recent LTS version, so we installed a test machine with version 27.1 using the Feb12 theme. First thing we noticed is both theme are completely different color wise. Why is that so? Second thing, our table do not have internal border lines or columns any more. Is there something different in 27.1 to handle table? because even when we change themes, table lines and columns are still invisible.
